Reporting and invoicing has never been easier
We are happy to announce the launch of an important ActiveCollab update. It offers something for everyone. You will find new and improved reports for project managers, Xero integration to manage finances, iCalendar project feed for all team members, and many other small improvements and bug fixes. Let’s take a closer look at these new features. Xero Integration
This add-on is for Xero users who use it for accounting and bookkeeping. It allows you to create invoices based upon tracked time and expenses and send them to Xero for further processing. Xero will replace ActiveCollab as your invoice engine. This means that you can create invoices in ActiveCollab, then edit, issue and manage them in Xero. Our help article provides more information.
This report is for you if you manage many projects and need to keep track. We are adding this report to make it easy to export a summary. It will list all your projects with all the data required and allow you to export to csv. Advanced Time Report
Our time reports are easy to use. It only takes a few clicks for the most important information. We realize that this may not be enough for project managers who require more detailed reporting. Managers and clients may want customized reports that only show selected pieces of information in a certain way. The advanced time report is a great tool. This allows for more precise data filtering. You can also create custom reports if you do regular reporting. Let’s say that you need a report on all the billable hours not paid (with status Billable/Pending Payment) for the past month. This report will be broken down by client. Select these options, save the report, and you’re done. The data will be available to you every time you open Reports. New Invoices Report
Invoicing can be a tedious task. It can be difficult to keep track of your invoices and ensure you get paid on time. It can be difficult to keep track of clients and multiple projects that you need to charge frequently. ActiveCollab is here to help. This report will give you a list of partially paid invoices and a quick overview of unsent invoices that need to be sent. You can also select which columns you would like to see in the table to further refine the results. You can save time and create custom reports (Save As Preset option) to save your work and then export them as csv. iCalendar feed to project management
It is very convenient to keep all your tasks, meetings, birthdays, etc. in one calendar. ActiveCollab now allows you to do exactly that. It can be Google Calendar or OS X Calendar, Outlook, and any other platform that supports iCalendar feeds. This update adds the ability to export all your project feeds, including tasks lists and subtasks, in addition to custom calendars. Open the Calendars dropdown, click Export next to your project name. You can also do the same from Project information. Depending on the requirements of your calendar, you can either copy the link or download it. ActiveCollab is constantly adding new features and integrations to the feed.
